It uses an anti-freeze solution sealed into the handle to soften ice cream for easy dipping of sundaes, shakes and cones. The handle and hanging hole are color coded for easy portion control. This model has a end cap and hanging hole that designates a 2 oz. scoop bowl capacity. On average, this scoop dispenses 16 servings per quart. Vollrath has patented the ergonomic textured handle design that ensures a secure grip when scooping. The Vollrath 47277 is forged from durable cast aluminum.
